Walk with Drémonk in his blog: Journey beyond walls of the mind. This blog is especially for Black Buddhists & Hikers to be exposed to a spiritual world unlike the urban environment most of us inhabit and are conditioned. Please find on this blog 300 Drémonk Provocative Quotes & Phrases that bridge street wisdom and the Dharma. It’s a powerful collection of quotes and phrases that explores a Buddhist’s path, rooted in the African American experience.

To live a life as an African American Buddhist is to carry history, upbringing and a resilience to an aggrandized street culture that inflates the ego. It is to just sit and meditate while the environment shouts; or ignore it which would betray most of our faiths and practice. The author’s book of quotes and phrases express a middle way to share with everyone, his understandings that he received on the path (both spiritual and mundane are the path: as a path always have more than one direction). Many of these quotes & phrases embodies a Black Hiker’s way of life, perhaps most people, and call to action to retreat and meditate while walking the trail.

Drémonk’s articles, short stories and photos may resonate with your spirit. As it explores both spiritual and mundane life without separation. His intention isn’t to exemplify a dual reality, but to point to a more deeper, often, hidden truth: that we are with all things. This blog is a reminder to us all that awakening is not the absent of struggle, but the clarity to see through it.

World wide Sangha and friends, I look forward to us one day walking or sitting (meditation) together, even breaking bread over a campfire while sharing stories about our journey. In the alternative we can connect on this blog; post your spiritual inspiring moments on this spiritual world community website. This site welcome all faiths and spiritual practices. You’re invited to share everything from storytelling to photos of your favorite hiking and bike trails sites, beautiful scenery, and delicious recipes. Namaste!
